Michelle Ding，插畫家、繪本創作者與插畫藝術家培育師。

一位以插畫、詩性敘事與感知創作為核心的藝術創作者，創作經常圍繞著自然、情緒、生命與存在之間的關係，透過風、植物、光、海與人的狀態，描寫那些難以被言語定義的內在感受。對Michelle來說創作並不是再現世界，而是一種理解生命的方式，透過繪畫與故事，試著重新感受人與自然、時間與自我之間的流動關係。

Michelle Ding is an illustrator, picture book creator, and mentor for illustration artists.
Her artistic practice centers around illustration, poetic storytelling, and sensory-based creation.Her works often explore the relationships between nature, emotion, life, and existence through elements such as wind, plants, light, oceans, and human presence — portraying inner feelings that are difficult to define through language alone.For Michelle, creation is not simply a way of depicting the world, but a way of understanding life itself.Through drawing and storytelling, she seeks to reconnect the flowing relationship between humans, nature, time, and the self.

《聽見》

《聽見》是一項持續進行中的創作研究。我想探索的是：當我放下過去對自己的定義，不再控制創作的方向，而只是回到感受與經驗之中，我會看見怎樣的自己？
十二年前，在一段巨大的人生震盪後，我第一次清楚聽見內心浮現「用圖影響」的聲音。當時的我並不理解它的意義，只是沿著這個聲音走入創作。多年後回望，我才逐漸明白，這段創作旅程一直帶領我靠近一個更接近生命原本狀態的自己。

在《聽見》中，我反覆描繪海、田野與山林。它們不是被描繪的風景，而是我理解生命的入口。我想知道，為什麼某些自然形式會讓我停留？它們所承載的生命特質，是否也存在於我的生命之中？因此，我讓自然、身體、媒材與時間共同參與創作。每一次描繪，都是我理解萬物如何回應我的過程，也讓我逐漸看見：『自然中不同生命形式所承載的特質，也存在於我的生命之中，成為我理解自身存在的方式。』

《Listen》 is an ongoing artistic inquiry into how creation unfolds. At the heart of this project is a simple question: What might I discover when I let go of control, release the identities I have held, and return to direct experience?
Twelve years ago, after a profound turning point in my life, I heard an inner voice say, “Influence through images.” I did not fully understand it then, but it led me into a lifelong creative journey. Looking back, I now see that this journey has been guiding me toward a self that is closer to life's original state.

In 《Listen》, I repeatedly return to the sea, fields, and forests—not to depict landscapes, but to understand the qualities they embody. Through the responses of nature, my body, different materials, and time, each work becomes an exploration of how these qualities also exist within me.
For me, creation is a way of seeing. It allows me to recognize how the qualities carried by the living world gradually reveal themselves within my own existence.
